Why I started this blog / このブログを始めた理由
When my American partner and I decided to get married, I realized that managing money as an international couple in Japan is a whole different world.
アメリカ人のパートナーと結婚を決めたとき、国際カップルとして日本でお金を管理することが、普通の日本人同士のカップルとはまったく違うと気づきました。
Unlike a typical Japanese couple, we face questions like:
私たちには、こんな疑問が出てきました：
- How do we manage finances when we think about money differently? / お金に対する考え方が違う中で、どうやって家計を管理する？
- What happens to savings and investments if one of us moves countries? / どちらかが海外に移住した場合、貯金や投資はどうなる？

I couldn’t find many resources in English that spoke directly to our situation. So I decided to write about it myself.
