At the same time, many of the articles are useful even if you are not in an international relationship. The main theme is simple: organizing everyday money in Japan, one small step at a time.

私も最初はそこからでした。全部を完璧にするより、固定費や毎月の支出など、見えるところから少しずつ整えていきます。

Why I started this blog / このブログを始めた理由

I started Kakeibo & Co. because I wanted a place to organize the money questions that come up in real life.

Kakeibo & Co. を始めた理由は、日々の暮らしの中で出てくるお金の疑問を、自分の言葉で整理したかったからです。

When my American partner and I started thinking seriously about our future together in Japan, money became something I wanted to understand more calmly.

アメリカ人のパートナーと日本での将来を考えるようになってから、お金のことをもっと落ち着いて理解したいと思うようになりました。

But before managing money as a couple, I realized I first needed to understand my own household budget: where my money goes, which fixed costs can be reviewed, how much I can save, and what kind of life I want to spend money on.

ただ、二人の家計を考える前に、まずは自分自身の家計を整える必要があると感じました。何にお金を使っているのか、どの固定費を見直せるのか、どれくらい貯められるのか、そして何にお金を使いたいのか。

So for now, many articles are based on my own household budget improvement. Over time, I also want to write more about money conversations as an international couple.

そのため、しばらくは私個人の家計改善が中心です。これから少しずつ、国際カップルとしてのお金の話し合いについても書いていきたいと思っています。
